Late OctoberThe Texas Clay Festival in the Gruene Historic District, four miles north of New Braunfels, holds demonstrations and exhibits of more than 50 Texas potters.

Late SeptemberOne of Texas' oldest and largest county fairs with exhibits, carnival, rodeo and entertainment, held at the Comal County Fairgrounds.

Celebrating the holiday season in downtown New Braunfels, more than 15 special events take place from mid-November to mid-December and include visits from Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas and Cowboy Kringle.

Early OctoberA weekend of great Texas Wine, food and music, hosted by Gruene Hall, the Grapevine and KNBT 92.1FM radio to benefit Hospice and United Way.
Late October-Early NovemberThis 10-day celebration, rich in German culture and full of Texas fun, takes place the first week in November every year. Enjoy sausage, strudel and potato pancakes, along with the finest in Alpine- and Bavarian-style entertainment.

Early DecemberThis is a downtown New Braunfels Annual event, featuring wassail from local merchants and organizations, entertainment and prizes.
Third weekend monthlyThe Old Gruene Market Days features the works of local vendors on the third weekend of every month. All vendors at the Gruene Market Days handcraft each item they sell.
